OpenStack Summit 2016

IT conferences are not only about tech conversations, sessions and workshops, they also can be a real treat. It was proved by a Transportation demo which we were pleased to prepare for OpenStack Summit along with the guys from URB-E startup. During the whole summit app developers were competing in a mini-quest on electric scooters. The challenge spiced with innovations from Helion Cloud and IoT left no one unmoved.

And while attendees were enjoying the ride, our Telemetry System were collecting gps, accelerometer and battery life data, calculating real time performance of a scooter and streaming from camera attached to the vehicle. But riding fast was not enough to win. Cloud Quiz stations were placed along the route. Competitors answered the questions with RFID cards and got their bonus points instantly sent to the Leaderboard in the cloud.
